Who am I?
A Yorkshire lad from Lincolnshire (UK) via a short stint in Berkshire (UK) and 10 years living and working in Canada (Toronto & Oshawa Ontario, Grand Prairie Alberta). Yes, the accent is a tad strange but beyond that all is relatively normal, I think.
My Business Past
I’ve worked in bakeries, newsagents, DIY, flooring, double glazing, network installations, printing, packaging, advertising and some heavy grunt work along the way but my hands were rarely far from a keyboard.
Since 1995 my slight obsession with all things design and techie took over full-time when I designed my first website. Looking back it was dreadful – I remember the obligatory spider crawling across the browser window. It was cool back then – honest!
Clients have included (and for the most part still include) a double glazing company, an insulated roofing product manufacturer, used car dealers, a kitchen designer, a commercial painting and decorating firm, computer and IT accessories sales, branding agencies, website designers, bloggers, marketing firms and more…
My Work
While I am often hired as developer / designer, my biggest asset as far as your business is concerned is helping you figure out what is not quite right or, in most cases, what is failing miserably.
My Blog
Over the years I have written countless blog posts (aka ‘articles) about a wide range of things I am interested in and am passionate about. Business, The Internet, Privacy (inc what I categorise as ‘Invasive Technology’), World Issues and more.
