I’m sure we all know that outdated content is something you don’t want on your website or blog – although so many ignore that guideline (probably because most blogs would lose 80%+ of their old posts) but how bad is it when one of the world-leaders in our social network forgets to remove their old adverts weeks after making massive changes?
For a few days now I have been noticing this advert and wondering which monkey at Facebook clearly did not read the memo that Fan Pages are no longer called Fan Pages and their is no such thing as a FAN any longer – we LIKE things now…
Ok so Facebook can get away with it (one rule for us and another for them – sort of thing) but how much content do you have that is old and is no longer relevant to your customers, your readers?
We’ve all got some. It may be images of products you no longer sell, software you no longer supply or support, guidelines or instructions that are no longer current, prices that are so last year…
Have a look through your site/blog – I bet you can find one or two bits that might leave a reader scratching their head…
