Do Free Apps Have A Hidden Agenda?

Do you have free apps on your smart phone? Why do you think they are free?

I wonder, and I hope you will share your opinion below, if they have a hidden agenda.

After all, we see free offerings everywhere but, ultimately, the real objective is to sell us the paid version that comes with all the bells and whistles.

The market for smart phones, PDAs, and the wide assortment of handheld gadgets is ballooning these days and, I suspect, there is far more to it than simply “here is a free app that will make your life better!

With all the trickery that can be built into an app or an online free service, it would not be very difficult for an app to do more than you thought it was doing.

How long before one of the updates (which most of us accept without even thinking about it) forces advertising onto the screen of your smart phone or PDA. It only takes a little bit of programming to do that.

If, like the majority of people with a smart phone, you have free apps at your fingertips, don’t be surprised if one day they start displaying advertising somewhere on your screen.
