As if you needed any reminding – there is more compelling evidence that the majority of eyeballs are on Facebook and – your potential market is among them. So along with Twitter, YouTube, you must be thinking seriously about including Facebook in your online marketing activities – or you will be missing fantastic opportunity to reach more people than you could possibly reach with your solitary website.
Facebook is commanding a huge audience. More than radio, more than TV and certainly more than any individual website could ever command. And that number will continue to grow because Facebook makes it so easy for people to stay in touch across the globe and there is nothing that really compares.
When people meet these days, rather than asking for an email address, they ask if they are on Facebook (and/or Twitter) and what the username (or full real name) is to look them up on those platforms – it is where the Internet has progressed to and we have to go with the flow.
There’s no point being obsessed with one website and ranking at the top of Google – although that should be part of your marketing strategy – because the sheer numbers speak for themselves. People are spending more of their online time on the social platforms – full stop!
