Why oh why do these scam-artists keep doing it? I am really starting to dislike (I mean hate) Twitter. Scam, BS, Con, Trick, Spam… Is that all there is to it? Well it certainly seems so.
I bet you are soooo jealous! Isn’t she lovely… Yeah baby! The amazing thing is, this little honey claims, in ‘her’ bio that ‘she’ is a
painter, home and garden, home construction, remodeling, repair, trades, design build, architect, real estate
She can come round and fix up my garden anytime! Ha ha! Just kidding there, of course!
Bring it on baby! Or am I being just slightly gullible? Do these Twitter spammers really think we are that bloody stupid?
Don’t Follow Me, I’ll Follow You
The thing is about Twitter. That anyone can follow you, anyone can post comments into ‘your’ thread – they don’t need your approval. They don’t need your ‘acceptance’ before they use your name in a Tweet so any spammer can (and do) use the @YourName to get their name and avatar into your timeline.
At least on Facebook the spammers can’t post to your personal ‘wall’ unless you accept them as a friend! Phew. God forbid my mother thinks I’ve got a thing for sexy Latin or Oriental ladies… Well, maybe I do but my real friends don’t need evidence of what floats my boat.
‘She’ is no more a painter or a gardener than I am the bloomin’ Pope! ‘She’ is hooked into some scammy affiliate thingy that I want no part of and ‘her’ Tweets are just blatant affiliate link after link after link – and the bio – in case you’re wondering – boots you off to some affiliate link.
I was so disappointed. I thought I was going to see loads of pretty gardens and nicely painted houses. Duh – my loss.
